Vicky Delaney

Vicky Delaney

Vicky is the studio owner and founder of River Bend Yoga.

Yoga became a way of life for Vicky in 2004 after her second back surgery. While in physical therapy, she discovered that the exercises prescribed for rehabilitation were yoga postures. She researched yoga and became a regular practitioner.

In 2011, she felt a desire for more knowledge. She was inspired to enroll in a 200 hour yoga teacher training program. She graduated in 2012 with her RYT-200 certificate. Vicky started teaching right away, and knew she was on the right path. With the encouragement of her family, she opened River Bend Yoga in June of 2014. Vicky enrolled in an advanced 300 hour training program in 2015 to secure her 500 hour accreditation through Yoga Alliance.

Taking care of the body, warding off injuries, and living mindfully is important to Vicky. She teaches this in her classes. Through focusing on alignment and proper breathing techniques, she always keeps her students’ health and well-being in mind. Her passion is to guide students on how to use the practices of yoga to create healing & integration and to live an authentic and inspired life. Beginning her own yoga journey in her 40’s, Vicky is very much aware of how yoga, meditation and healthy living can help the body and the mind age more gracefully.

In 2020 Vicky opened River Bend School of Yoga, a Yoga Alliance (YA) accredited school. Currently offering 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) and continuing education classes to keep Yoga Teacher current on their credentials. Soon, the offerings will expand to include the advanced 300-hour YTT and an Aerial Certification Program.

Vicky feels incredibly honored to have the opportunity to share these ancient teachings.

Outside of yoga, Vicky enjoys hiking, cooking, vacations with her husband Jim, and spending time with her children and grandchildren seeking adventures and making memories. She is a dog lover and avid reader, enjoys time at home curled up with a book and her rottweiler Remington.

“Living mindfully is the foundation to a happy, healthy, well-balanced life.”

Why did you start teaching?
I actually went through Yoga Teacher Training not wanting to teach classes until I had found my true passion in Aerial Yoga and knew I wanted to share this feeling and experience with others.
What keeps you motivated?
The proud moments of getting a pose we have been working on for a little bit bring me so much joy and keep me motivated to keep bringing the fun and the excitement.

To Quote Breann: "I want to hold a safe space to not be okay", but to still show up, have fun, maybe even singalong and swear if that is what you want. I just want everyone to have fun no matter what, leaving class emotionally refreshed.

Breann Bailey

Breann Bailey

Breann has taught a plethora of fun classes and workshops at River Bend Yoga over the last six years. Her current classes include Beginner Yoga, Buti, Buti Deep, Warm Vinyasa Flow, Aerial Fit, and Aerial Rest and Restore. Other potential pop-ups include Backbend Workshops, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Glow, Parables and Poses, Hanuman Workshops, Body Thrive, Grow Your Flow, Storytime Yoga, Harry Potter Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety, and Sukha Restore.

Breann’s biggest goal is to facilitate growth, whatever that means to each student. Her classes at River bend Yoga are filled with a familial atmosphere. Expect to hear laughter and teasing, while still enjoying space to not be okay.

Her Beginners’ Yoga class focuses on making yoga accessible for all bodies. In her Intermediate and Aerial Fit classes, she will challenge and encourage you. She is also one of the facilitators for River Bend Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Training Program.

Breann has earned an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and a YACEP through Yoga Alliance, as well as an MBA from UMSL. She is a mom to four teenage boys and a wife to the biggest kid in the house, all while being accused of treating the dog as the favorite child. She uses yoga to combat anxiety and to soften her dark art of sarcasm.

Regardless of your body, your background, or your current state of being, Breann encourages you to try yoga at River Bend Yoga. To re-iterate the mantra of our 2020 Yoga Teacher Training Cohort (with multiple tattoos to prove it) “You are enough.”

Amanda Vaughn

Amanda Vaughn

Amanda’s journey on the yogic path began at 16, when she was suffering from kidney disease. The movement, breathwork, and stillness found in the practice was the profound healing she was looking for. Although incredibly grateful for modern medicine, she was surprised that no professionals had mentioned to her the healing power of even the most simple asanas.

Amanda received her 200-Hour Vinyasa YTT in 2017 in Puna, Hawaii. She learned how to create flow structured classes, guide meditations, and offer several chants.

Outside of class, Amanda deeply enjoys communing with nature. Her favorite place to be is at the very top of any mountain. She is ecstatic to be a guide and facilitator of the innate ability of others to be their own greatest teacher and healer.

Why did you start teaching?
I started teaching so I could share the love of yoga I have with others.
What keeps you motivated?
I am motivated by my students, especially the new ones. Seeing them get excited when they are able to do something hard is exhilarating. Knowing that there is more for me to learn and achieve is a motivator, as well. We are all a work in progress.
What do you love about the studio?
River Bend Yoga Studio is like a home away from home. It is a beautiful space created with love by Vicky. When one walks through the doors, they feel a sense of community, love, support, and non-judgment. All are welcome, and you can feel it when you enter the doors.

Why did you start teaching?

I decided to complete YTT because of how yoga made me feel physically and mentally. I wanted to learn more and be able to share with others, especially the high school students I work with daily. I attended some professional development workshops of bringing yoga and mindfulness into the classroom, and this inspired me to go further.

What keeps you motivated?

Bringing accessible yoga to everyone keeps me motivated to keep learning and teaching. I love trying to accommodate yoga for anyone. Making myself better mentally and physically also keeps me on my mat, practicing new things. The other teachers at RBY also keep me motivated to keep growing in my yoga journey.

What do you love about the studio?

I love so many things about RBY! I love the variety of classes offered and all who teach there. I love the beauty of the physical space of the studio. However, most importantly, I love how I feel when I’m there, both as a teacher and as a student. I know that no matter what crazy things have happened in my day, the second I walk through the door, my mood will immediately change to calm. It’s a feeling of being at home with those who love and accept me exactly the way I am. It’s my extended family who support and encourage me, and project this to all who come through the door. No matter who you are, at RBY, you are enough!

Judy Maher

Judy Maher

Judy has always enjoyed an active lifestyle. She is an adventurous outdoor woman who enjoys bicycling, hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding. In 2008 Judy went to her first yoga class and immediately made yoga part of her wellness journey.

In 2014 Judy went through her 200 Hour yoga teacher training knowing she wanted to help others come home to themselves. Judy started teaching professionally immediately after graduation and continues on her teaching journey by exploring a variety of classes.

For this 75 minute practice prepare to move beyond comfort and certainty for the sake of growth and aliveness. This power flow in a heated room integrates long holds and fluid transitions. In this class you will transcend the tendency to simply go through the motions as you enter into the fullness of the present moment, welcome grace into your heart, and clear stagnant energy.

Kali Mills

Kali Mills

Kali began her yoga journey in the beginning of 2021 to initiate healing from mental and physical illness. For this reason, she is passionate about supporting others on a journey of releasing fear and anxiety by creating a space free from obstacles.

Kali completed her 200-hour certification through River Bend School of Yoga in November 2021. Her classes provide an opportunity to stretch, unwind, and release tension by combining breathwork, movement, and meditation. The goal is to provide a good counterpoint to busy lifestyles, so stillness can be found with the divine.

Katie Hinners-Mueller

Katie Hinners-Mueller

Katie’s formal yoga journey began in 2017. After years of weight gain, high levels of stress, anxiety and poor self-esteem Katie knew she needed to make changes to restore her health and find self-love.

After reading about the benefits of yoga for anxiety, a close friend and Katie attended a class together. Although apprehensive about the new experience, she showed up and it was love at first class. One class turned into two, two turned into several times a week, and then, in 2020 she became a certified yoga instructor.

Yoga allowed her to build strength, increase flexibility and balance, to learn to love her body, and tame the anxiety through mindfulness, meditation, breath work, the challenge of pose, and music.

Katie is a 200 Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) additionally certified in Buti Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, and Core Yoga. She is a non-traditional yogi and instructor who brings humor, laughter, and fun to her instruction!

Her classes focus on celebrating and loving your body, letting go and being present, linking breath and movement, and most of all having fun! She often incorporates themes and quotes into her classes and is committed to motivating, challenging, and encouraging her students. Her classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels. She believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone, free of judgement, and should leave you feeling empowered!

When Katie is not practicing or teaching yoga, she loves spending time with her husband of many years (Tim), her son (Colin), and her amazingly supportive family and friends. She enjoys camping, boating, fishing, and making memories with all of the special people in her life! She is a lover of animals with 1 dog and two cats. In addition, during the day, Katie is proud to serve as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer for the ACLU of Missouri – a Civil Liberties and Civil Rights Non-profit organization.

Latavia Jo Harley

Latavia Jo Harley

Why did you start teaching?
I found yoga in 2015/2016 after experiencing a challenging time in my life. Yoga and meditation became my way of escaping and coping with life transitions. I realized yoga was an intense passion and wanted to learn more. I graduated from Yoga Teacher Training from River Bend Yoga in 2020 and started teaching Yin Yoga in 2021. She received her Yin Yoga Certification in December 2022.
What keeps you motivated?
I am continuously motivated by my students, my clients, my passion for learning, and my desire to make an impact in my student's lives. My Yin classes are full of knowledge, compassion, body acceptance, self-love, and a chance for deeper exploration of thy self.
What do you love about the studio?
River Bend Yoga has always been home. My favorite thing about RBY is the studio environment, the support I receive from every single yoga sister, the love and guidance from my mentors Vicky and Breann, and the constant growth!

Linda Sutton

Linda Sutton

Why did you start teaching?
Having recently retired, I wanted to explore some interests and enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training. I really wanted to learn more about yoga, not only the poses but also the history and philosophy. When I started teaching at a local gym as part of my training, I found that I enjoyed it!

What keeps you motivated?
It’s very motivating to see students gain more mobility as they regularly practice. It’s great to have people discover that they can do yoga, even if they have never tried it before or it’s been a while. I love to see the relaxation and “feel good” that happens at the end of practice after Savasana.

What do you love about the studio?
The studio has a great environment and everything you can think of for practicing yoga. So, all you need is to bring yourself in some stretchy clothes.

Shea Radcliff

Shea Radcliff

Shea has been practicing yoga since 2014, and has been teaching since 2020 after receiving completing her yoga teacher training with River Bend Yoga. Having been an athlete her whole life, working out always felt like a punishment, but once she found yoga, it changed her life and perspective on movement in general. The way the physical yoga opens the door to more closely look at the mind and spirit is the reason she keeps coming back to her mat day after day. Her passion for teaching came from wanting to share with others the transformative power of yoga. Forever a student, she just completed her 300 hour training with the esteemed Jason Crandell making her a 500 hour certified yoga teacher. ARM BALANCES! She LOVES to be on her hands! Shea loves to teach all skill levels and experience with a passion for both beginners and advanced practitioners as well as one on one private classes with students wanting to dive deeper into their own practice. Shea teaches beginner yoga, power flow, and vinyasa flow with an emphasis on breath. technique, and alignment.

Shelly Harvey

Why did you start teaching?

After taking my training in 2023, I felt like a weight had been lifted off me. Learning about the true meaning of yoga, not just the poses gave me insight into myself and helped me to release past negative thoughts & helped me to embrace loving myself as a strong, vibrant woman. This made me want to help others do that as well. Being a past elementary teacher, teaching yoga just seemed like a natural next step.

What keeps you motivated?

I had total knee replacement in February of 2024, so getting healthy and strong is my motivation. I want to be able to move and run through life, as I have not been able to do before- plus one day I hope to have grandkids that I will need to chase and keep up with!

What do you love about the studio?

The first time I visited the studio as a student, I was instantly embraced with love. During YTT, the love and support I felt by all instructors and my class cohort was amazing. They really helped me navigate a difficult personal situation. When I was off for my knee replacement, I came to the studio just to sit sometimes because it just feels like home- an uplifting energy for the soul.

Stephanie challenges you to meet yourself on the mat, feel restored, and change your perspective. She believes: ‘Yoga is more than just a physical practice; it is a way of living that changes everything.’

I have been practicing Yoga off and on for 15 years now. I started with Yin Yoga and Gentle Yoga as a teenager, and over time I found it helped with mental health. I've found practicing yoga rewarding wherever I go, whether its at home, in a studio or outdoors. I enjoy the creativity of yoga, which complements my artistic side.
