In an 80-degree room, students will gently warm up the spine before they move through core ‘exercises’ to strengthen those central muscles. Then they will move through a short flow using and activating the core to raise the heart rate and build heat before coming into an unwinding stretch to release tension and soothe muscles. A final focus on pranayama, in a timed bit of breathwork, and the class will finish with a traditional savasana, or corpse pose. Some experience with yoga is a plus but not necessary.
