A Candlelit Journey Through Darkness, Stillness, and Strength
On the longest night of the year, we don’t rush toward the light. We honor the darkness — the quiet, the rest, the deep exhale December asks of us. We move intentionally, breathe fully, and let repetition become meditation.
We begin in near darkness, each of us contained in our own quiet orbit. Every five rounds, we will light one candle, honoring the slow, honest return of light — not as escape, but as emergence.
Join us for a candlelit Winter Solstice practice of 108 Classical Sun Salutations, broken into gentle, doable rounds with rest built in. As the room gradually brightens, you’ll feel your inner warmth rising — not as bypass, but as integration.
All levels are welcome. Modifications are offered throughout: knees down, skipped vinyasas, child’s pose, or simply visualizing the movement. Your practice, your pace, your body’s wisdom.
Whether you complete 108 or only a handful, the ritual itself is the teacher. It’s challenging, uplifting, clarifying — a space to release what’s heavy and honor what’s beginning.
Come as you are. Move how you need. End the year in community, courage, and contemplative stillness.
