CORE STRENGTH WORKSHOP (getting strong from the inside out)

Developing and maintaining core strength is one of the best things we can do for ourselves in order to maintain lifelong stability, mobility and balance.

Core awareness and strength are essential for:

• Structural integrity (good posture)

• Lower back health (both preventative and therapeutic)

• Ease and efficiency in day-to-day living

• Peak athletic performance

• Optimal alignment in asana

• The ability to practice challenging yoga poses

Designed for people of varying ages and abilities, this workshop teaches:

• What the core muscles are

• Why they’re important

• How to access them

• How to strengthen them

• How to keep them strong & supple for a lifetime

Based on Kim’s one-on-one work with David Fabrizio, one of the most respected and sought- after physical therapists in Southern California, this 3 hour intensive will incorporate simple but powerful techniques that target the deep muscles of the belly, low back and pelvic floor.

You’ll leave the workshop with an understanding of your core musculature and how to access it, along with your own toolkit of exercises that will allow you to create a solid foundation for lifelong core strength. The class is appropriate for students of all levels; all are welcome
